I apologize for our lack of postings but the 2 places we stayed in Shanghai unexpectedly didn't have their internet working, which made it a real challenge to keep folks back home posted. But we just arrived to our hotel in GuangZhou and our internet is singing, so I will be sure to post more later tonight.
We had a great time seeing old friends in Shanghai and going around to all our favorite places and eating our favorite foods (will post pictures later). In some ways it didn't feel as though 2 and half years had passed since we had been there. Even some of the fruit vendors remembered us, which made it feel like just yesterday that we left. We then hopped an 18 hour train (which turned into a 21 hour train) to Guangzhou. We had a little sleeper compartment and the kids did great!
We will be here for a couple days and will visit our agency's partner orphanages tomorrow.
We also just got an email that our Travel Approval came in- yay! but that it was mailed to the US instead of China- boo. But it should be ok- they will just have to mail it over to us here. I am asking and hoping that all will look good for us to meet Ava on the 13th like we hoped. Please pray that the TA makes it here and that all is in place for a Jan 13th meeting. Can't believe its only a week away! Also please pray for Ava' heart- I know it will be quite a transition she will be going through and we just hope to know how best to comfort her and support her during this time.

So glad all is going well. That's neat that vendors remembered your family! What a long train ride...so thankful the kids did well. Just a few more days till Ava!
